This is where we get into the meat of how we got where we are. As we began praying about the prospect of opening a uniform shop, God began to move through many circumstances. First, we found a desired location in the Myrtletowne area. We like to call it "Downtown Myrtletowne." The price was right and the space more than adequate. Then, several people approached us to say they were supportive and excited. After that, we went down to the bank and were approved for financing.

While circumstances are great, we cannot depend on them alone. It's been our experience that God speaks most clearly through His Word, the Bible. He will always confirm the things He wants us to know. As we began seeking God in the Word, through our regular daily reading, there were many verses that spoke to both of us and we got more excited each day as we shared these verses with each other.

Below, are just a few of the things that God spoke to us about. If there is anything you would like more clarity about, we will be glad to discuss it with you.

Several scriptures were pointed out to us from Deuteronomy 7-9:

~ Watch and Pray

~ Don't forget the Lord

~ It is He who gives the ability to produce wealth ~ It will happen "little by little" not all at once.

"He rebuked them for their lack of faith." Mark 16:14

"The righteous live by faith." Gal. 3:11

"Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else." Gal. 6:4

"Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord." 1 Cor. 1:31

"Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust." Psalm 40:4

"Be strong and courageous, get ready to cross the Jordan into the land I am about to give you, no one will be able to stand up against you. I will be with you. I will never leave you or forsake you. Remember the Lord, remember the Word and obey it, then you will be prosperous and successful." Joshua 1-2

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him." Psalm 37:7

"If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm, though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand." Psalm 37:23-24

"Wait for the Lord and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land..." Psalm 37:34-35

"God causes the growth" - only He can! 1Cor. 3:7

He told the Israelites to follow the Ark of the Covenant, "Follow it, then you will know which way to go since you have never been this way before" Josh. 3:3b-4a. We need to follow the Lord and let Him guide us. The people completely trusted God's Word. Even at flood stage, the priests stepped foot in the Jordan River and they stood firm. (v.17) God did a miraculous thing as they walked on dry ground, no sooner than they got to the other side, the river came again at flood stage. (v.18)

"The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly." Josh 14:9

"Not one of all the Lord's good promises to the house of Israel failed, every one was fulfilled." Joshua 21:45.

"How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth! He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. He chose our inheritance for us." Ps. 47:2-4

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ." 2Cor.1:20

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor. 4:18

"Now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation." 2 Cor 6:2

We're Third - "And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will." 2 Cor. 8:5

"Do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you." 1 Sam 10:7

"You will uphold my right and my cause... those who know your name, will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Ps 9:4

"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." Matt 5:16

"Do not be afraid, there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known." Matt 10:26 - He will teach us!

"May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God. Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged." 1 Chron.22:12-13

"To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own ends, even the wicked for a day of disaster." Prov. 16:1-4

"A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold." Proverbs 22:1

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a maiden." Proverbs 30:18-19

"For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does." Psalm 33:4

"We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you." Psalm 33:20-22

God First:.
"Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
Customers Second:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Matthew 22:37-39.

We're Third:
" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
